The first Royal vacuum cleaner was manufactured in 1905, making the brand over a century old. The manufacturing company introduced the first hand-held vac, “Royal Prince”, to the industry in 1937 and has been an innovative leader in the vacuum world ever since. In 1984, Royal created the Dirt Devil Hand Vac, a groundbreaking product that stimulated Royal’s production to create a number of other products under the Dirt Devil brand name.
